FREEDOM FLIGHT:

In memory of 9/11 & to honor veterans, military, firefighters, law enforcement, public servants, medical personnell, those who died in 9/11, and those who continue on with life............."We will never forget!"

(Next Freedom Flight in our area: second Saturday in September, 2009. Place: Burden City Park. Free of charge. Bring Covered dish for the community dinner.)

The next Annual Freedom Fligh will be held in combination with the annual "Neighbors Frief Support Group". Both groups will share a meal before the kits fly.

   WHAT IS FREEDOM FLIGHT:

• Local citizens gather at city parks and rural pastures & form your own flight sortie (flight group) on Sunday, September 10, 2006
• Fly your own kite or get one from ECCRC 
• "Flight Logs" will be used to track the number on minutes flown.
• Sponsored by ECCRC
• Free kites to those who have tickets & for the first 20 who show up
• Free flight logs
• Public display of Freedom Flight - Flights monitored & tracked on Eastern Cowley County Map
• Display on loan for your town upon request

 KANSAS CONNECTION:
In Cowley County, Kansas, make a colorful or patriotic kite and show up at your city parks and pastures on Sunday, Sept. 13th, 2009 at 1:00 - 2:00 p.m (after the noon meal). Or bring your favorite kite.Extra kites will be available free of charge. This is the Fourth Annual 'Freedom Flight" in our area! Free Kites for those who attend at the Burden Sortie.
